The easiest way to cook asparagus

So this is an absolutely foolproof way to cook asparagus/ most greens, I have done it with sugarsnaps, green beans and tenderstem broccoli. 

The secret? Your microwave! Fat free, out of your way, no boiling or steaming? Yes please!

  • Put the vegetable of your choice in 1 layer on a plate, sprinkle with salt and pepper and spritz of lemon if you like
  • Cover tightly with clingfilm
  • Microwave for 2-3 mins depending on how thick your vegetables are, this asparagus was quite thin so just took 2 1/2IMG_1506
  • The only scary part is getting the clingfilm off without steaming your hand so poke a hole in the side and stand back for a second before you remove the clingfilm and marvel at the perfection before you
